3 Conference Room Tech Tips for a More Peaceful Workplace

In the conference room, there is only so much time to get your message across to your team. Yet, that time is often taken up by setting things up and dealing with any issues that arise. Not to mention, many people despise meetings and come in with bad attitudes as well as disdain for whatever message you’re trying to get across. All that pent up hostility overflows in the conference room as soon as anything goes wrong.

It’s definitely not the ideal environment to discuss important business issues, and yet, it’s the only environment you have. You know there must be a way to have a peaceful and engaging meeting that flows seamlessly, you just haven’t figured it out yet. Creating a

Creating a Peaceful Workplace

Don’t worry. It is definitely possible to create a peaceful environment for your work and your meetings. Here are three conference room tech tips that you can use in order to make it happen:

1. Use a shared calendar for everyone in your company. Make sure and include meetings on that calendar.

You’re going to need superior motivation to keep yourself getting out of bed and pounded the pavement each day, even when you may not be making nay money at all during the first few months of years of your business. Focus on your goal and stay motivated to reach it. You’ll see that as you reach goals, your motivation will evolve and change but will always burn bright.

When you are motivated, reaching goals can become addicting. You’re always striving to achieve the next goal and then the next goal, this is the kind of motivation that is absolutely necessary to make it as an entrepreneur. You’ve got to be motivated to take the leap into entrepreneurship and keep reaching for greater and greater.

When you are motivated you will motivate others around you to be the best they can be and put their best work in action. It’s also important that you are able to motivate others to buy into your idea or product. This can come into play when you are motivating investors to provide funding or motivating employees.

2. Integrate your digital meeting room displays with the shared calendar.

It’s not easy becoming an entrepreneur. You’re going to get told no more times than you can count, people will spit on your ideas and even tell you that you are crazy. But if you are persistent, you will overcome these naysayers and obstacles.

You need thick skin to make it as an entrepreneur and to keep standing and pushing forward when people discourage you and push your ideas to the side, this is where persistence comes into play. No matter how many times people tell you no, keep going, keep adjusting your product and plans until you start hearing yes.

You need persistence to put in the long hours that are required to be an entrepreneur, especially when you are getting started. Keep a persistent mind and drive, even when things seem to be going downhill, keep persisting and keep your mind and eyes focused on the prize.

3. Make sure people book the right room for their meeting. Rooms should partly be chosen based on the tech they need.

Not only are you streamlining the process for booking meetings, you’re also cutting out the conflict that can arise when someone uses a booked room. The other essential aspect of ensuring that your meetings and your workplace is more peaceful is to make sure that everyone knows what tech, tools, and resources each room has so that they aren’t caught in the middle of their meeting without the things they need.

There are a number of technological tools that are commonly used in meetings such as slides, powerpoint, and videos. Yet it’s unlikely that every conference room will be stocked full of each tool.

The best way to prevent issues that could arise when hosts don’t have the tools they need, is to make sure that everyone knows the contents of each room. Then, when they’re booking their room, they’ll be able to choose one that they know has exactly what they need.

Create a list that identifies the types of equipment in each room. Make it accessible to everyone, and let people use it to share if anything is malfunctioning so that others know what is and isn’t available to them.

This will help you keep track of any equipment that you don’t have yet so that you can purchase it as soon as possible. It also keeps you updated on what isn’t working properly so that you can get them fixed as soon as possible.

By following these three simple suggestions, you can reduce meeting and workplace drama exponentially. You can ensure that scheduling meetings is a seamless process and that most meetings will be able to go off without a hitch.

At Tucker Collective, we’re on a mission to bring meeting and workspaces to the 21st century.
I used to have a big problem finding suitable space in the midtown and downtown area to have discreet meetings with clients. I recently discovered the Tucker Collective, and it will now be my office away from my office for which to hold a meeting. Don't go looking for a coffee shop for your next meeting, check out the Tucker Collective.
